craft and a compliment

I realized that I am a “necessity” crafter.  I make things because there is a need

and I want to save money.  When my daughter said she would like a cover to

keep her new kindle safe (but the one she wanted cost way to much)

I simply told her to “go and get the leather from the old couch cushion.”  I also said

”this would be temporary, until we could save up some money for a new one.”

…This is what I came up with.

I later heard her talking with her cousin.  “I knew when she told me to go and get

the old couch cushion…it was going to be cool”  She then added,  “this is so NOT 

temporary!”

(one of the best compliments I have received in a long time…)
